The Butterfly House

Our target is young women under 24. Many young women have a harder time when they leave their abusive partner. They typically can't support themselves and need a very strong support network.

Butterfly house will be able to house seven women and a house manager at one time. Keeping a small number will enable us to give each woman the one on one time they need to feel supported, and to empower their personal growth.

During their stay, women will attend support groups, lay counseling, and be assigned a mentor. They will be assisted with resume writing, job searching, and in interviewing. We will have classes on boundaries and on becoming the woman God has designed her to be!

We will have professionals come into the home to work with them on make up, hair, building self estemm, and to conduct motivational presentations.

Every woman will be given information on all community resources that will help them on their journey to become self sufficient.

Everyone will be encouraged to participate in the house Bible Study, and to get involved in an outside study and church.

Each woman will have house chores that they are responsible for, and the house manager will be the one to make sure they get done. Everyone will sign in and out when they leave the home for appointments, so they we know where they are.

We currently have a need for disposables for the home like soap, shampoo, paper towels, cleaners, etc. A drive at your work or church could provide these items.
